The story
How Service VIN came to be
Not a startup's guess at what shops need. A working shop's answer to what it was missing.
The shop
Six years with a squeegee in hand
The shop started the way most do — one bay, a plotter, and a phone that never stopped ringing. Six years later it's a working shop that has pressure-tested every feature in Service VIN against a real Saturday rush.
The pile of tools
A CRM here, a calculator there, a booking widget bolted on
Quoting lived in a spreadsheet. Bookings lived somewhere else. Film cost was a guess. Follow-ups happened when someone remembered. Nothing talked to anything, and the number that mattered most — actual profit on the job in the bay — was never on the screen when it was needed.
The build
So the shop built the thing it couldn't buy
One customer record, one calendar, one set of numbers — and quotes costed from the real film on the rack. When it started running the shop better than the pile of tools ever did, it stopped being a side project and became Service VIN.
