What is Workmanship warranty?

Definition

Workmanship warranty is the shop's own guarantee covering install quality — lifting edges, bubbles, peeling from application error — as opposed to the film manufacturer's warranty on the product (yellowing, cracking). Customers benefit from both; put what you promise in writing.

Why it matters to a shop

Your workmanship warranty is a promise you have to be able to find and honour years later, on the right vehicle. Filed against the VIN with the contract and the install photos, it is a two-minute answer; in a filing cabinet, it is an argument.
