quotes.send
REST
ShippingPOST /api/v1/quotes/sendMCP tool
Livequotes.sendExposed on: REST API · Shop MCP server · Claude connector · Dash (in-app copilot) · Zapier. Part of the Quotes domain.
Operating contract
SENDS TO THE CUSTOMER. This mints a share link and delivers it on the channels you name, in the shop's own template, branding and numbering. The customer receives it immediately.
CALL quotes.send_status FIRST. It tells you which channels are actually available and whether the quote itself is sendable — a quote that is accepted, declined, expired, or past its valid_until is refused here, and 'past its date' is fixable with quotes.extend_validity.
channels must be a non-empty subset of ['sms','email']. Naming a channel the customer cannot receive on is refused rather than silently dropped, because a caller that believes it texted somebody it did not will stop chasing them.
NOT A DRAFT AND NOT REVERSIBLE. There is no unsend. If you are not certain the shop wants this to go now, ask them first.
IDEMPOTENCY: pass a stable key from your own system and a retry after a timeout will not text the customer twice. A freshly generated key each call buys nothing — without a stable key, calling this twice sends twice.
The result reports delivery PER CHANNEL and always returns the link, so a shop can copy it if a channel bounced.
Who may call it
- Permission
quotes.accessThe caller must hold Quotes at the ACT level. A read-only dashboard grant on the same section is refused.- Plan
- Every planNo plan gate. Available on every Service VIN plan.
- Retries
keyHonours an Idempotency-Key header. Pass a stable one and a retry replays the first answer instead of acting again.- Rate class
sendCounted against the send budget, the tightest one: what a runaway loop spends here is the shop's own sending reputation.
