The integrations hub: connect your tools
One-click OAuth for Google Calendar, Google Business reviews, QuickBooks and Xero — plus what each tile state means and why one might say "Coming soon".
Settings & integrations10 in this section
Settings → Integrations is a directory of every tool Service VIN talks to, grouped by category. The live OAuth connectors — Google Calendar (two-way: scheduled jobs push out, Google reschedules flow back onto the board), Google Business Profile (pulls your reviews in), QuickBooks Online and Xero (both push paid invoices to your books) — connect with one click: you log into your own account on the provider's page, no keys to paste. Tokens are stored encrypted, and Disconnect revokes access and deletes them immediately.
What each tile state means
Connecting a tool
- 1
Click Connect
A new tab opens on the provider's own login and consent screen, for your own account — the settings page you were on stays open behind it.
- 2
Approve
You land back on the page you started from (the hub, or Settings → Payments for Square) with a Connected flash, and a backfill sync starts in the background. The tab you signed in through can be closed.
- 3
Let it run
Every live connection re-syncs on a 15-minute schedule; the row shows when it last synced, and Sync now forces one on demand.
The wider directory covers the rest of the stack: Stripe (payments, active), Email (Resend) — already on for your shop, with nothing to connect: quotes and invoices go out under your business name from our verified domain and replies come back to your shop email, so its tile shows Manage (the logo and accent colour on those emails live in Settings → Branding) — and Twilio, which is set up on its own settings page rather than by OAuth, plus Square (also connectable straight from Settings → Payments, where it sits next to Stripe), Outlook Calendar, Zapier, Make, Slack, Podium, CARFAX, film supplier catalogs, Meta Lead Ads and Mailchimp, many of which are roadmap entries collecting demand through the Request button.
Google reviews are gated by Google
The Google Business Profile reviews API requires your Google Cloud project to be allowlisted through Google's own application process. The connector will connect fine, but review pulls return errors (and the connection shows an error state) until that approval lands. Nothing else is affected.
Troubleshooting
The Connect and Disconnect buttons are disabled for you.
Why: Managing integrations requires the manager permission.
Fix: Ask an owner or manager to connect it, or to upgrade your role on the Team page.
Common questions
Does each shop need its own QuickBooks or Google developer keys?
No. The developer app and env vars are set once, platform-wide. After that, every shop just clicks Connect and logs into its own QuickBooks, Xero or Google account.
What happens when I disconnect?
The stored token is used to revoke access at the provider, then deleted along with the connection — syncing stops immediately. You can reconnect any time.
How fast do changes sync?
A backfill runs right after connecting, then every live connection syncs on a 15-minute cycle. Use Sync now on the row when you don't want to wait.
