One screen for your whole team — roles, skills, weekly hours, time off, workload and pay. Assign the right installer by skill and availability, then watch their hours flow into each job's real margin. Because on a wrap, your people are the cost.

Your whole crew — hired, scheduled, assigned and costed in one system
Everything about your team — in one place.
From the day someone walks into your bay to the margin on the job they just finished, Service VIN runs the people side of your shop. Here's what you get out of the box.
Invites, roles & permissions
Invite a team member to their own login by email and pick their role — owner or tech — in one click; revoke or restore access anytime. Owners see the whole shop; techs see only their work, by role, not by nagging.
Everyone sees everything

Shifts & schedules
Set each person's recurring weekly hours once. The scheduler keeps jobs inside real working time and won't double-book a bay — it's a database rule, not a hope.

Time & PTO
Book vacation, appointments and sick days as time-off windows. They sit on top of the weekly baseline so nobody gets assigned a job on a day they're out.

A complete record for every team member.
Contact details, skills and service categories, certifications, pay and HR, weekly hours, time off, and their live job queue — all on tabs, all in one place. It's the file you wish you'd kept in a spreadsheet, except it actually drives the schedule.

- Certifications and the services they're trusted to run
- Pay & HR that only managers can open
- Their real, live job queue — not a static note

Hours and time off that the schedule actually respects.
Set recurring weekly hours per person and book time off on top. This isn't a decorative calendar — it's the availability the scheduler reads, so you stop promising a Tuesday install to a tech who doesn't work Tuesdays.
- Per-day start and end times, saved in one shot
- Time-off windows layered over the weekly baseline
- Part-timers and contractors modeled honestly
- Feeds the same board that won't double-book a bay

Your team, connected to the money.
Service VIN doesn't — it already knows the true cost of every job from your real inventory. Assign an installer and their rate and hours become the job's labor cost, so you see margin after your people, not just after film. On a wrap, that's the difference between a job that looks profitable and one that is.

Labor in the margin
Service VIN already costs jobs from your real film-roll cost. Add the installer's rate and hours and you get margin after labor — the number that actually matters.
Assign by skill
Filter to the people trained on PPF, or wraps, or tint. The right installer for the job is one tap, not a guess or a group text.
Balance the load
Workload per person is live on the board. Spread the week so your senior installer isn't drowning while the apprentice waits.
See who earns
Because every job carries its margin, you can finally see which work — and which mix of people — actually makes money.
No double-booking
A single-capacity bay can't be booked twice at once — it's enforced in the database, so the schedule you promise is a schedule you can keep.
Quote → job → crew
An approved quote drops a job on the board; you assign the installer; their hours flow back to the margin. One thread, no re-typing.
A personal home for every installer.
Your techs live on their phones, so the staff portal is built for one. Each person signs in to just their work — what's on the bench now, what's coming up, and the checklist for each job — without ever seeing the shop's revenue, pricing or anyone else's pay.
- Just their assigned jobs — on the bench and coming up
- Move the stage, tick off work items, add photo proof
- Due-today and overdue surfaced up top
- Zero access to shop money, pricing or the roster

Bring in a contractor — in seconds, no login.
A busy week doesn't wait for onboarding. Roster an external installer the moment they walk in: name, skills, a per-job payout — and they're assignable, schedulable and costed like anyone else. No account to provision, no seat to buy. Hand them a portal login later if you want to; you never have to.
- Add a contractor without provisioning a login
- Set a per-job payout that flows into job cost
- Track their skills, availability and workload too
- Upgrade them to a full portal login whenever you like — Essentials includes 3 team logins, and from Growth up they're unlimited

Margin depends on your real pricing, pay rates and how you run the board — Service VIN just makes all three visible in one place.
Questions, answered.
What is team management software?
It's the people system for your shop — the one place that holds staff roles, skills, availability, pay and responsibilities, and connects them to the actual work. In Service VIN it isn't a standalone HR silo: the same roster that lists your installers is the one the scheduler assigns from and the one that costs labor into every job's margin.
How does it improve scheduling?
Two ways. First, each installer has real weekly hours and time-off windows, so the board keeps jobs inside the time people actually work. Second, a single-capacity bay physically can't be booked twice at once — that's enforced in the database, not left to human memory — so the schedule you promise is one you can keep.
Can it track installer skills?
Yes. Tag every person with what they run — PPF, vinyl wraps, ceramic, tint, prep, removal — plus certifications and the service categories they're trusted on. When you assign a job you can pick by skill instead of guessing who's both free and qualified.
Does it support contractors?
Fully — and this is where Service VIN is different. You can roster a contractor with no login at all: name, skills, and a per-job payout, and they're immediately assignable, schedulable and costed like any employee. Manage full-time, part-time and contract staff side by side, and hand out a portal login only if and when you want to. Essentials includes 3 team logins; from Growth up they're unlimited — and rostered contractors never count against either.
How is the team connected to job margin?
Service VIN already costs each job from your real film-roll cost and shows a live margin. Team Management adds the other half of the cost — labor. An installer's pay rate and hours flow into the job, so you see margin after your people, not just after materials. On a labor-heavy wrap, that's the number that decides whether the job made money.
Who can see pay and HR details?
Only managers. The entire team area lives behind the owner/admin boundary, so pay rates, HR fields and the full roster are invisible to techs — by role, enforced at the route and the row, not just hidden in the menu. Each installer's own portal shows their work and nothing about anyone else's money.
