What is Double-book protection?

Definition

Double-book protection is a scheduling guard that stops two jobs from landing on the same bay or installer at once. When it's enforced in the database (not just hidden in the UI), a busy day can't quietly overbook a bay you don't have.

Why it matters to a shop

A bay booked twice is a customer sent home and a day rearranged. Enforcing the rule in the database rather than the interface is what makes it hold on the busy Saturday when someone is booking from a phone in the bay.
