What is Unified inbox?

Definition

Unified inbox is a single thread that gathers every text, call and web lead for a customer, tied to their vehicle and history — instead of scattering the conversation across a personal cell, a texting app and a separate estimating tool.

Why it matters to a shop

Customers switch between calling, texting and messaging without thinking about it, and the shop pays for the gaps between those apps. One thread per customer means the person who picks it up next has the whole story, not a fragment.
